Road to Reprieve

Thinking aloud. Trying to understand the things around me. Pseudo-intellectual conversations with Robin. And dealing with a new chapter in this book I call my life.

ENGLAND 2-0 TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO

England was supposed to dominate the game near the halftime and after the second half, not in the last ten minutes. I was dissapointed to see that England didn't play that well during the first half and during the first 30 minutes of the second half. Although Wayne Rooney made his comeback in this game, I think that he wasn't prepared to play. He was already catching his breath after a couple of minutes when he got in, nevertheless, it was still a very nice substitution by Sven Goran Eriksson. It was good to see Rooney and Lennon play.

The goals, THE GOALS! England had SO many attempts, more than 20! I think that the players, especially Lampard, were getting very frustrated for not getting a goal when the game was in it's final fifteen minutes. Everything changed when Beckham passed the ball to Crouch, and Crouch butted the ball in, Hislop didn't see him coming! The nail in the coffin was hammered down by Gerrard when he made a shot and scored in the last five minutes.

The best move in the game was when Terry blocked the ball that was on it's way inside the goal line. You should have seen it! Vundervar! Robinson wasn't there to deflect the shot. The hero of the day: John Terry!
